I'm raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis WA.

I have created this page to support the important work undertaken at Cystic Fibrosis WA.

Most, of you who know me know that my 12-year-old son Stephen lives with Cystic Fibrosis.

He was, diagnosed at 4 weeks old through the Guthrie Test. 

We were unaware of our family history, hence a surprise and very worrying time.

Stephen is doing well because of the continued advancements in treatment/medications that CF WA supplies funding for, research, services, and support, they are also our Voice for the CF community.

CF Children and Adults cannot have contact with each other due to cross infection of "bugs" they only carry! This can be isolating so they need other support!

Please support them with a donation to my page and share it with friends and family to help me reach my fundraising goal. Every donation will make a significant impact.

Thank you to everyone who has so far supported us with raising funds for CF “RESEARCH” there are still 3 weeks left!!!!!! Every little bit will help to continue research for a cure. $5 or more will help make a difference.

Living life

Friday 19th Aug
Stephen loves to live life, play with his friends, skate parks, Mountain bike riding and much more. 
He loves a good adventure and exploring new things. Always has a go.  

Hospital Admissions Picc Lines

Tuesday 9th Aug
Young Stephen spent many days in his younger days in the hospital at PMH and PCH, these days we attend 3 monthly clinics at PCH and the occasional admission, the last one 3 years ago. This is due to the support we get for spreading awareness and fundraising to keep research trials on the go, so our CF community can access new groundbreaking modulator medications. Currently, no cure, but hopefully one day! Please help us to reach our goal by giving a small donation for a good cause. Thank you Stephen Mum.

Skate Park

Saturday 6th Aug
Stephen, getting his daily workouts. This is important because they must do something they love. His favourite things along with the social side of others, who enjoy doing the same type of activities to stay physically fit to keep healthy, are part of living with CF.

Lung Function August 2022

Thursday 4th Aug
Annual reviews enable the multidisciplinary team to understand the progression of the person's disease and make changes in their care to prevent or limit the symptoms and complications of Cystic Fibrosis. People with “CF” are now living longer whilst there is no cure because of advancements in treatment.

65 Roses

Saturday 30th Jul
The "65 Roses" story dates back to 1965 when an observant 4 - year - old, hearing the name of his disease for the first time, pronounced cystic fibrosis as "65 Roses."
Today "65 Roses" is a term often used by young children with cystic fibrosis to pronounce the name of their disease.

Tween CF Worrier

Let say having a tween who thinks he is 15 has it's challenges!

I probable repeat take your medication's 100 times  at breakfast mmmmm.... Finally they disappear later to be found in his school short pockets the bin even under his bed☺️ certainly not ideal!!..."Mum's" do get use to this, and we become quite good at the challenge of finding them!!!
