I'm raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis
I've created this page because I want to support the important work being undertaken at Cystic Fibrosis WA.
Why CFWA? Glad you asked.
At the start of 2011, I was in respiratory failure. Climbing in and out
of bed was exhausting. Putting the doona cover on was unthinkable (to be fair,
I struggle with that at the best of times #ShortGirlProblems)
The twenty-metre walk to the bathroom took ten minutes because I had to stop
multiple times to rest.
Despite all these challenges, I was able to live at home while I waited for
these shiny new lungs, instead of being confined to a hospital room.
All because Cystic Fibrois WA provided home help.
Dale visited twice a week, helped with my physio, vacuumed and got the
troublesome doona back in its cover after washing my sheets.
