Registering

How do I register for Bring It On!?

Choose between two exhilarating challenges for this year's Bring It On! event.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes. Your registration fee will depend on the challenge you select.

Zip+Climb
Our Zip+Climb experience has a registration fee of $109 per adult (RRP $165 per adult) and children aged 8-15 years are $89 per child.

VERTIGO
The VERTIGO experience has a registration fee of $89 per adult (RRP $109 per adult) and children aged 10-17 years are $59 per child.

Please note that your registration fee will automatically be added to your fundraising total, giving you a head start.

How does the registration process work?

How do I create my fundraising page?

Your fundraising page will be created upon registration.

Can I register for a specific timeslot?

Zip+Climb
Sessions will run at 9:00 am and 9:30 am for the Zip+Climb experience.

VERTIGO
Sessions will run at 9:00 am, 9:30 am and 10:00 am for the VERTIGO experience.

Our team will allocate and notify participants of their timeslot 2 weeks prior to the event.

Can I register as a team?

Each participant will need to register and fundraise the minimum fundraising target as an individual. However, we welcome you to encourage friends, family and colleagues to participate with you. This year, upon registration you’ll have the option to create a team.

Zip+Climb

What are the age, height, weight and fitness requirements?

Min: Height – 122cm   | Weight – 30kg    | Age – 8yrs
Max: Height – 220cm  | Weight – 120kg  | Age – 75yrs (70-75 with medical approval)

Parental supervision required for participants 8-15 years of age. Maximum 2 children permitted per adult.

Parents/guardians are responsible for the behaviour of their children at all times. When considering whether the activity will be right for your child, please consider their maturity, ability to follow instructions and ability to adhere to safety protocols.

70-75 year olds MUST complete this health/fitness assessment with your GP prior to booking. GP Fitness Test Form

What is the duration of the Zip+Climb experience?

It takes approximately 120 minutes (2 hrs) to complete the bridge climb and zip back to home base.

Do I need to be fit to do the Zip+Climb?

Medium level of fitness required. The climb is very steep and physically demanding. Please consider your personal fitness levels when deciding. Please consider the following:

Must be able to climb 45-degree angles
Must be able to climb up 314 steps
Must be able to manoeuvre body under low beams

What clothing should I wear?

Jumpsuits and weather gear are not provided as part of the experience. Please dress appropriately for the weather and ensure you wear something comfortable for climbing in.

Consider long sleeves for protection from the sun and wind. A shirt that is long enough to tuck into your pants or is fitted enough so that it won't ride up is ideal. You will be wearing a harness, so no exposed stomachs to avoid rubbing.

The harness you'll be wearing goes under your legs, around your thighs and waist and over your shoulders. Opt for comfortable pants, leggings, capris or shorts that are knee-length or slightly above. 

Enclosed, rubber sole shoes are required to climb the bridge for safety. Without proper footwear you may not be allowed on the bridge.

If you have long hair, please secure it in a low ponytail at the nape of your neck to ensure that your helmet fits correctly. Hats cannot be worn under your helmet for safety reasons.

Can I bring my phone, camera or GoPro with me?

No. For strict safety reasons, guests are not permitted to bring any items up the bridge. Your ticket includes FREE souvenir photos of your experience emailed to you directly after your experience.

What about sunglasses and other loose items?

For safety and security reasons, no loose items may be taken up the bridge – including wallets, devices. FREE lockers are provided.

You will be provided with a FREE strap for sunglasses and spectacles. Souvenir sunglass straps are available for purchase.

Are lockers available?

Yes – backpack size lockers are available FREE of charge to store your valuables.

What if I have a cultural head covering?

Please be aware that you will be required to wear a standard helmet when climbing the bridge. Any cultural head coverings will need to be able to fit underneath the helmet. If you are unsure if your head covering will fit, we recommend you bring an alternative head covering just in case. We have private changing rooms where you can discreetly change.

What health issues might exclude me?

Medium level of fitness required. The climb is very steep and physically demanding. Please consider your personal fitness levels when deciding.

Please disclose any pre-existing health issue so we can ensure your wellbeing is not at risk, as well as others on the tour. All medical declarations are strictly confidential.

Activities are not recommended for those suffering from the following:

  • Epilepsy
  • Vertigo
  • Recovering from surgery
  • Respiratory issues
  • Heart conditions
  • Injuries or conditions impacting stair or ladder climbing ability

What if I am pregnant?

We do not recommend the experiences for pregnancies over 21 weeks, however, exceptions may be provided with an accompanied medical certificate.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes. All participants on bridge activities will be reuqired to complete a waiver prior to commencement of activity.

VERTIGO

Can kids experience VERTIGO?

To participate you must be at least 10 years, 1.2 metres tall and weigh a minimum of 40kgs. All children must be accompanied by a paid participanting adult, with a maximum of three children per adult.

What is the duration of the VERTIGO experience?

The VERTIGO tour is a 90-minute experience

Can Seniors experience VERTIGO?

VERTIGO requires a general level of fitness, to take part, although no specific training is required. If you are over the age of 75 you must have a Medical Form signed by your GP, not more than 3 days prior to your tour. The form is available to download here. Please consider your own abilities and if you do have any concerns, we'd be happy to discuss with you.

I'm pregnant, can I VERTIGO?

Depends! If you are less than 24 weeks pregnant, and experiencing a normal pregnancy, you can participate with a signed Medical Form from your GP. The Medical Form is available to The Medical Form is available to download here.

If you are over 24 weeks pregnant, or if you have any medical complications that could affect your ability to complete the tour safely and comfortably, VERTIGO will be here for you when you have given birth to that little legend!

I'm carrying an injury, should I VERTIGO?

You need a general level of health and fitness, although no specific training. If you're unsure speak to your GP and complete our Medical Form. The form is available to download here.

Can persons with a disability or a medical condition participate in the VERTIGO experience?

Disabilities and medical conditions are different for everyone. If you're unsure speak to your GP and complete our Medical Form. The form is available to download here.

What clothes/shoes should I wear?

Check the weather forecast the night before your experience. We recommend wearing weather appropriate comfortable clothing. Less clothing is it's hot, more clothing if it's cold.

You'll be provided with a jumpsuit and an OZONE cap, sunscreen is a must on warmer days!

We recommend rubber-soled shoes used for sporting activities such as running, walking or hiking. But any flat, enclosed toe shoe will do. We're a no to flip-flops, thongs, sandals, jandals, pluggers or plakkies (or whatever you call them around the world!)

Can I bring glasses or sunglasses?

VERTIGO is bright. You gotta wear shades, we don’t want you squinting in all your great photos! Sunglasses are not provided for you, you will be given a safety cord to attach your sunglasses around your neck.

What if I don't want to do the lean out experiences?

It's entirely up to you. If it's not your thing you can just stand back, watch others have a go or just enjoy the amazing view.

Can I bring my phone or camera on the tour?

Phones, GoPros and other photo or recording devices are unfortunately not allowed on the rooftop tour. Your photographically trained Tour Leader will take some great photos of you and your group so your experience can “actually happen” when it’s posted on social media. You also receive a complimentary group photo to remember your experience. You’ll also be able to purchase our great photo packages for pre-purchase with your booking or after your tour has finished.

Where can I leave my belongings?

We have complimentary lockers available for use when you arrive in The OZONE. The tours desk can look after your key for safekeeping while you enjoy your tour or experience.

Fitness Requirements

You should hae a general level of fitness and be physically and mediaclly fit to take part. No specific training is required before the VERTIGO tour, however, you will be given a safety briefing and guidance from your Tour Leader on the day.

Can I experience VERTIGO if I don't complete the Declaration and Disclaimer?

No. Every participant is required to complete and submit the Declaration and Disclaimer. If you are over 75 years of age or pregnant you must also submit the Medical Form signed by your GP, no later than 3 days prior to your tour.

Fundraising

Do I have to fundraise to participate?

Yes. Registrants will need to fundraise a minimum amount of $650 each in order to participate. Please note that your registration fee will be automatically added to your fundraising total to give you a head start.

Our Fundraising team is here to help support you in reaching your target. We will provide resources, tips and encouragement in the lead-up to the event.


Can I fundraise over the minimum amount?

Absolutely! The sky is the limit. The more you raise, the bigger your impact for those affected by cystic fibrosis.

What does my fundraising go towards?

Funds raised from this event will help Cystic FIbrosis WA continue to provide essential support services and fund vital research.

For example, $375 could purchase a portable nebuliser for a person with cystic fibrosis to take daily medications and $1,000 could make a valuable contribution to a vital cystic fibrosis research project.

What if I don't reach the minimum fundraising target?

Our Fundraising team are here to help. We will send you regular fundraising advice and resources to help you reach your target.

When registering for the event, participants agree to meet the minimum fundraising target of $650 prior to Monday 28 August 2023.

If the Fundraising team does not feel a participant is making reasonable efforts to fundraise and/or the participant is not meeting fundraising milestones in the lead-up to the event; at the discretion of Cystic Fibrosis WA, the participant can be withdrawn from the event. We encourage participants to reach out to us by emailing events@cfwa.org.au or calling (08) 6224 4100 if you are having trouble with fundraising to discuss additional support.

Other

Are spectators allowed?

Spectators are encouraged to bring a picnic blanket and spread out along the forsehore under where the zipline comes in to watch all the action and to cheer on friends and family.

Rapid Relief Team Australia have kindly offered to cater the event, however, 
spectator registration is required for catering purposes.

Where can I park?

Parking is free on non-event days and spaces can be found at Marlee Loop carpark accessed via Victoria Park Drive and the Bus Station and Camfield car parks accessed via Roger Mackay Drive or Camfield Drive.

View major event dates on the Optus Stadium What's On page when our carparks will be closed.

Visitor Parking
ACROD parking spaces can be located behind The Camfield and in Marlee Loop carpark.

Taxi or Rideshare
A dedicated taxi rank is located adjacent to Victoria Park Drive.

Taxi or rideshare eg. Ola or Uber vehicles can pick up or drop off passengers in the Marlee Loop car park on non-event days.

Public Transport
Use Transperth JourneyPlanner to plan your journey Armadale Line trains stop at Perth Stadium Station all day Saturday, Sunday and on Public Holidays.

Buses stop regularly near Matagarup Bridge, a pedestrian crossing to the Stadium. Including the Yellow CAT service stopping nearby the stadium, with the Red CAT service to extend the current route to stop at Matagarup Bridge from December.


I can't make it on Saturday 2 September. Can I participate at another time?

What cross infection measures will be in place on the day?

As with all Cystic Fibrosis WA events, we will be following our infection control guidelines for the Bring It On! The goal of these guidelines is to ensure that everyone remains safe from any viruses or bacteria that might make them unwell, including COVID-19. Click here for more information.

As part of these guidelines, we ask the following;

1. You and/or the spectators in your group will not attend the event if you or they are feeling unwell, in order to protect others in the community.

2. You let us know if a participant or spectator attending the event has cystic fibrosis.
