Every child deserves to feel safe, included and confident at school.
For families living with cystic fibrosis, that doesn’t happen without support.
With your help, more children like Koah can walk into the classroom ready to learn, belong and thrive.

Meet Koah
Koah is full of life: always moving, always smiling, with an energy that lights up every room. You wouldn’t know he lives with cystic fibrosis just by watching him.
But behind the scenes, CF shapes every part of his daily life.
When Koah started kindy, his mum Brittney found herself overwhelmed with questions she’d never had to ask before.
“How do I explain CF to teachers? Will they take it seriously if he looks healthy? How will his medications be managed during the day?”
Each morning already involved physiotherapy, treatments and medications before the school bell even rang. Adding school coordination felt like one more impossible task.
Like many parents, Brittney worried constantly about infection risks, whether staff would understand CF, and whether Koah would truly be safe.
That changed when Cystic Fibrosis WA stepped in.
Through the CFWA School Program, Koah’s teachers were educated, risks were identified, and a personalised CF Student Action Plan was created.
"For the first time, I felt confident that Koah would be safe, understood and supported at school."
- Brittney, Koah's mum
