The first two weeks of Piper's life were incredibly tough for her family. They didn’t know if she would survive, and the doctors were unsure what was wrong until test results came back on day 13. A sweat test then confirmed that she had cystic fibrosis.

“When the diagnosis finally came, it was strangely both a relief and utterly terrifying. Relief, because we finally had answers; terrifying, because we knew so little about cystic fibrosis and what it would mean for her future.”

Since that day, life has been a daily balancing act of medications, physio, and constant planning. Some days are tougher than others — especially as Piper grows older and pushes back against the routines that keep her healthy.

Through it all, Piper’s spark never fades. She’s confident, sassy, kind and full of life — always testing limits but never without love.
